App Spendly (Budget Manager)

Introduction

Spendly (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) is designed to help you track expenses, categories, and related preferences on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the App and how it is handled.

By using Spendly, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Summary

  • Spendly is built to work primarily on your device.
  • Financial and app data you enter (such as transactions, categories, products or merchants, notes, and related settings) is stored locally on your device using on-device storage technologies.
  • We do not require you to create an account in the App to use core features as shipped in this project.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Information the App Processes

Data you provide in the App

When you use Spendly, you may enter or generate information such as:

  • Transaction details (for example: amount, description, date, optional notes)
  • Categories, products or merchants, and related labels or icons you configure
  • App preferences (for example: currency, theme or appearance, onboarding or profile fields you choose to save)

Data stored on your device

The App stores the information above locally on your device (for example using local databases and device preferences) so the App can function offline and remember your settings between sessions.

Analytics and crash reporting

Unless you integrate third-party analytics or crash reporting tools in a future version and disclose them here, this version of the App does not include third-party analytics in the codebase described by this policy. If you add such services, update this policy and your App Store disclosures accordingly.

App Store / platform services

Apple may process certain information when you download or update the App through the App Store, in accordance with Apple’s privacy practices. We do not control Apple’s data practices; see Apple’s privacy policy for details.

In-app review prompts

The App may use the operating system’s in-app review feature to ask for feedback or a rating. That flow is provided by the platform (for example Apple) and is subject to the platform provider’s terms and privacy policy.

How We Use Information

We use the information processed by the App to:

  • Provide core features (recording and displaying transactions, categories, and insights)
  • Remember your preferences (such as currency and appearance)
  • Improve usability and stability of the App where applicable

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Information you enter stays on your device unless:

  • You choose to use a future feature that explicitly syncs or backs up data to a server (if added), in which case we will describe that processing in an updated policy and in the App; or
  • You export or share data yourself using device features outside our control; or
  • We are required to disclose information by applicable law or a lawful request.

Data retention and deletion

Because data is stored on your device, retention is generally under your control:

  • You may delete individual records inside the App where the App provides that capability.
  • Uninstalling the App may remove locally stored data depending on your device and operating system behavior. If you need a guaranteed wipe, use your device’s settings to delete the App’s data or uninstall the App, and consult your device manufacturer’s documentation.

Security

We design the App to keep your information on your device. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure (for example: passcode, biometric lock, and avoiding unauthorized access).

Children’s privacy

Spendly is not intended for children under the age where parental consent is required in your region for processing personal data. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us at the email above and we will assist as required by law.

International users

If you use the App outside your country of residence, your information is processed on your device; any future cloud features will be described when introduced.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version by updating the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
